After a significant hiatus, development of Tic-tac-toe Collection has resumed.

The immediate future will be maintenance releases designed to bring my tooling and the libraries used back up to date.

Tic-tac-toe Collection has been implemented with a technology called Xamarin Forms. That officially reached end-of-life at the end of April 2024.

There is a natural progression from Xamarin Forms to Microsoft MAUI, but it is a non-trivial amount of work.

The short term plan is to do as much as possible to enable the MAUI transition to be as smooth as possible while still using Xamarin Forms. This will mainly be removing any dependencies that aren’t supported in MAUI (which means not changing in a user-visible fashion).

• New more consistent layout on many screens, with improved accessibility.
• Fixed game simulation result not displaying on Game Setup screen.
• Pass light/dark theme to release notes.

A minor update - the site now supports dark mode for devices set to dark mode. A later version of the app will also pass through your custom theme setting when opening site pages such as release notes.

You can also manually force dark or light (or return to auto).
